Today, my friend sends a .vsd Visio file to my Gmail but I do not know how to open it without installing Microsoft Vision on my PC. Maybe it is possible to set Firefox to auto open such type of files with Visio, or open Visio files with an alternative to Visio. What’s your personal plan?
Rather than looking for another tool to open .vsd files or purchasing Visio, to download a Firefox add-on named Free Visio Viewer is better for me, as I am using Firefox browser every day.
Free Visio Viewer allows Firefox users to open Microsoft Visio files posted on a webpage or attached to the Email. It supports all the common Visio file types, including .vsd, vsdx and .vdx, and all the files created by Microsoft Visio 2007, 2010 and 2013 are available to Free Visio Viewer.
Once the add-on has been installed, every time you find a Visio file on a webpage, right-click the link and select “View in Lucidchart” to open it. For files attached to emails, Free Visio Viewer can add an “Open in Lucidchart” button next to the attachments, so you can open the files by clicking the “Open in Lucidchart” button.
